Like to keep your home up to date, but don't know where to begin for autumn/winter? This year has been quite the year for interiors so we don't blame you! We've picked some of the big trends to watch out for over the next few months:
Shades of Grey
Pantone's Serenity and Rose Quartz have served us well so far this year, but now we're turning more and more to shades of grey. The perfect neutral, winter-morning greys are all we want to see going into the end of the year.
Cosy Knits
Knitted accessories are getting bigger and bolder, with massive chunky cable-knits taking over. Demure weaves are no longer!
Statement chairs
Statement chairs can bring a whole room together or stand proudly on their own. If you think your room can get away with it, a strong accent colour puts the focus on the chair, or go timeless with something a little more neutral.
Metallics
We're still not over how much we love copper, but the trend is branching out a little further into other warm metals like gold and brass. We're on board!
Matte finishes
If shiny metallics aren't your thing, you're in luck because matte finishes are on the up. Matte black is particularly on trend. If you went big on metallics last year, hold onto them, because nothing looks better next to a matte finish than some luxe gold or copper.
Rattan
A lot of the autumn/winter trends are very soft, so introducing a bit of texture adds some interest to a room, and handwoven rattan furniture is top of our list.
Granny florals
They always say fashions come back again and again, and in the case of granny florals, they most certainly are back on our radar. A big, blowsy floral looks particularly well paired with the industrial trend that just keeps on giving this year.
