Entrants must be aged 18 years or older as at date of entry and residents of the island of Ireland in order to qualify as the prize winner(s). House and Home magazine reserves the right to request proof of age, verifiable by birth cert or passport only, and proof of residency, verifiable by recent utility bill only (issued within 6 months of win). Use of a false name or address by a competition entrant will disqualify them from receiving any prize.
Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash or other alternative (either in part or whole). In order to claim the prize, the winner(s) may be required to sign documentation as requested by House and Home magazine and contributing prize vendors relating to acceptance of the competition prize, terms and conditions and including, but not limited to, waiver of liability release in favour of House and Home magazine and such other persons as may be determined by House and Home magazine. All parties named on the entry may be required to sign such documentation if requested by House and Home magazine in order to avail of the prize.
The winner may be required to participate in publicity activity in association with House and Home magazine, prize sponsors and third party media outlets. If one or more parties fails to participate as required, the prize will be deemed to have been forfeited, and the winner/winners will be automatically disqualified from the competition. Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission to use the relevant winner/winners names, hometown and likeness for purposes of advertising, promotion or publicity in any media without additional compensation and prize winner(s) agree to take part in such related promotional activities as House and Home magazine may require.
Prizes are only valid for use on the specified date with no extensions or rescheduling permitted. If the prize is not claimed by the specified date, the prize and all prize elements will be deemed to have been forfeited. The prize cannot be split, is valid for the specified date only, any prize elements not availed of on the agreed date will be deemed to have been forfeited. Failure by the winner/winners, or part thereof, to avail of the prize for any reason whatsoever by the date agreed does not entitle the winner(s) to an alternative prize and the prize will be deemed to have been forfeited. House and Home magazine accepts no responsibility in the event that the prize is cancelled for any reason whatsoever.
The winner/winners may be required to attend events surrounding the competition. Failure to attend such an event will result in automatic disqualification from the competition. The decision of House and Home magazine is final and no correspondence will be entered into. In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, conduct or the results of a competition the decision of Confetti magazine will be final.
Employees of House and Home magazine and their associated promotional partners, companies or suppliers and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter/win. For these purposes an "immediate family member" includes a spouse, partner, child, step child, grandchild, brother, step brother, sister, step sister, parent, step parent or legal guardian.
Any costs incurred additional to the prize package elements listed (e.g. telephone charges, food and beverages, room service, transfers, insurance etc.) will be at the expense of the winner(s). Any requested and permitted upgrades or changes to the stated prize, or optional extras requested, will be at the expense of the winner(s). The winner(s) are solely responsible for completing all documentation (electronic or other) and organising all other elements relating to the prize and are solely responsible for paying any associated fees. House and Home magazine are not responsible if a prize element becomes unavailable for any reason whatsoever. Prizes are non-transferable and will only be awarded to the winner.
Unless otherwise stated, where multiple prizes are on offer in a single competition only one win per household will be permitted. No cash alternative will be awarded in lieu of stated prize(s). All taxes, insurance, fees and surcharges on any prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. House and Home magazine accept no responsibility whatsoever for the supply or non-supply or purported supply or delay in supply of the prize, including without limitation, the failure of the winner to receive ownership of or use the prize. Where appropriate, prize winners are required to complete all applicable booking and/or other formalities directly with the specified third party provider(s).
House and Home magazine reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend a competition and/or vary competition rules at any time without prior notice. House and Home magazine and their agents accept no responsibility whatsoever for any death, injury or other damage, loss, expense or liability arising as a result of taking a prize. Nor will House and Home magazine have any liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in any competition or any of the prizes rewarded.
Any person found to be in disregard of these rules will be disqualified automatically. House and Home magazine reserve the right to disqualify any contestant for any reason whatsoever in their discretion. Participation in a competition denotes acceptance of these terms and conditions and any additional competition specific terms and conditions which may be advertised. No purchase is necessary to enter. Any entrant who, in the opinion of House and Home magazine attempts to tamper with or inappropriately influence any part of the competition or interfere with the procedures involved may be disqualified from further participation. House and Home magazine’s decision in this regard is final and conclusive.
