Win 1 of 5 sets of tickets to the Knitting & Stitching Show 2012

This year’s Knitting and Stitching Show takes place at Dublin’s RDS from 1st to the 4th of November and as the largest textile and crafting event in Ireland it also hosts one of the largest exhibitions of patchwork in Europe, making it one not to be missed for crafters.

Over 25,000 people are expected to indulge their quilty pleasures (sorry) at this year’s event and features include over 150 specialist retailers, Learning Curve courses on basics and advanced techniques plus Secret Seamstress classes from Alexa O’Bryan of A Rubanesque.

You can also expect to see work from the members of the Irish Patchwork, an exhibition entitled Fly Away – Quilts from Limerick Prison Inmates as well as one titled Colour Improvisations curated by the well-known Nancy Crow, which is a major exhibit of 26 of the most daring exponents of colour working in the contemporary quilt world. Head's up: this exhibition can only be seen this side of the Atlantic at the Knitting and Stitching Show in Dublin. NCAD also represent with Tribe, an exhibition of textile students’ garments and accessories.
