I don't know what it was about chrome, leather and shiny moulded plastic furniture, but we couldn't get enough of it during the boom. It was everywhere. And now they belong on the Celtic Tiger Crimes against Interiors offenders list. This modern sleek style was favoured over the more traditional styles. The shinier and colder-looking the better and they were often paired with glass and chrome dining tables or breakfast bars.
