Showcasing what they have in store for A/W '16, Neptune took over the Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery on London's Conway Street, yesterday. The collection in situ, spread across the gallery's three floors, let us discover a whole host of design ideas. We can safely say that we'll be embracing darker tones, this season, while copper, pale woods and glass will still feature heavily. But bespoke and cleverly-used furniture that promotes longevity, is at the forefront, as ever, for Neptune. Read on and take a look at some of the ingenious ideas we came across.

Big Show Off

The return of open storage isn't confined to the kitchen or living room. For the organised amongst us, an open closet for the bedroom would certainly be something to lean towards. By omitting a bulky wardrobe, you're instantly saving space while nicely arranged compartments double as shelves for magazines and boxes. Complete with a the Stratton decorative oak ladder, for harder to reach places, the look is smart and effortless.

Doubled Over

Side tables are stealing the show here. Can you spot them? Three, upside down and mounted across the wall create instant open shelving in this updated Henley kitchen. Brownie points for matching appliances and decorative pieces, as seen here with the KitchenAid mixer, jugs and flowerpot. But that's not all; that kitchen island you see here? It's two stacked coffee tables. See below...

Serving Suggestion

Neptune's natural oak Henley kitchen may have had a modern revamp but there's still a lot to be said for contrasting sturdy kitchen utensils that hark back to more traditional times. Mixing wood, copper and wrought iron shows that this is a kitchen that has to be used to its full, hard-wearing potential.

Power Plants

We may be approaching A/W, but greenery-filled glassware and plant pots, indoors, and displayed on this Chichester 5ft open rack dresser promote fresh air and sit comfortably alongside any pretty collections you want to bring attention to.

Tile Be Back

Sometimes a tiled splashback can seem like too much of a commitment in the kitchen, so we love this idea of these tiled wall coverings, sneakily featuring on the back of this dresser for added texture.
