Still can't get over the transformation of this kitchen; from a cramped and hard to use space to an open, modern and efficient home 💙 It just goes to show that you can completely transform a home without adding square footage if you just use the room correctly. Not to mention that the kitchen itself is bloody beautiful!!! . . . . . . . #interiordesign #interiors #kitchendesign #kitchenideas #kitcheninspo #beforeandafter #modernkitchen #eclecticinteriors #eclectichome #eclecticdecor #beforeandafter #howimonochrome #decorstop #myinteriorstyletoday #mygorgeousgaff #apartmenttherapy #elledecor #finditstyleit #mybohoabode #interiordesigner #interiorstylist #interiorstyling #interior4all #interior123 #irishinteriors #myhouseandhome #designsponge #makehomematter #finditstyleit

The second room in our attic conversion after the bathroom is our master bedroom. We went for a dormer window and as this affected the front aspect of the house we had to get planning permission (the process with DCC was actually very seamless, eight weeks start to finish, unlike a previous planning palava I went through in Westmeath a few years ago when we considered a self build!). The builders had to put up scaffolding as this is a new second floor for us but the good thing was that everything (materials, builders, tradesmen) went in and out that window, not through the house hence the whole build didn’t interrupt us too much. I’ve shared the full attic conversion story on @houseandhomemagazine website(Search Anne Marie’s attic conversion) and in an exciting new podcast coming this autumn with @gaffinteriors Swipe for before pics 📷 @plpix

So I am a tad late to the #myhomeinseptember tag by @houseandhomemagazine and I have a little catching up to do. (Blaming it on the boogie and my work leaving do night out on Friday - not to mention subsequent recovery 🤕) Around this time last year we began our renovations on our home. Scroll through to see the before. The new extension has transformed how we live as a family in our home. The new kitchen now positioned at the back of the house has become #myfavouritespot. It has become the heart of the home and we spend so much time as a family in here. - - - - #myhouseandhome #favouritespot #september #houseandhomemagazine #myhome #myhomestyle #interiors #interiorinspo #interiordesign #renovations #interior #homedecor #kubekitchen #farrowandball #modern #kitchendesign

@mygardenthismonth Day 14 TOOLS A little before and after of my recent stenciling of the ugly patio area! Very happy with how this turned out, the tools I used were stencils called tetbury rug from @thestencilstudio a great prize that I won a few months back, a foam roller and of course good floor and patio paint from @benjaminmooreireland. It finished off the area perfectly😁check out my highlights for how I did this 🙌 #stencilstudio #tetburyrugby #postitandsmile #mygardenthismonth #gardendesign #myhouseandhome #myhousebeautiful #stylishhomevibes #myseasonalrevamp #walltowallstyle #patiodecor #patiodesign #myhousethismonth #mydiymydecor #mygorgeousgaff #howimonochrome #styledupinterior #myinteriorvibe #myinteriorstyle #myinteriorstyletoday #backgarden #eclecticallymade #stencilledpatio #outdoorspace

The Pantry is behind the smaller sliding door in the kitchen. We had to centralise the opening to maximise useful space in the Pantry, and to allow enough space for the sliding doors to fit together. The Pantry is where it’s all happening. In coming up with a design with @terry_designmakefit I was adamant that this would be a practical space. Here I have my fridge, freezer, wine cooler, built-in microwave and coffee machine. All my kitchen equipment such as toaster, juicer, food processor etc stay out on the worktop (so glad to no longer have to haul these items in and out of cupboards). In the meantime the kitchen stays clear of all clutter. By keeping this a galley kitchen, we managed to allow plenty available workspace on one side, with full pantry shelves on the other. It all works a treat! . . . . . . #pantryideas #pantrydesign #pantryorganization #pantry #pantrygoals #kitchenshelves #kitchendecor #kitchendesignideas #rollingladder #pantryshelves #belfastsink #limestonefloor #scullery #myhouseandhome #myhouseidea #nestandthrive #stylishhomevibes #interieuraddict #interiorismo #interiordesignlovers #irishinteriordesigner

Michelangelo eat your heart out 😂😂 The secret of my room reveal is out and I hope you like it as much as I do!! Huge thanks to @houseandhomemagazine and @crownpaintsireland for this collab (who even am I 😂😂). I'm in love with this ceiling paint colour, so earthy and chalky and more importantly, so easy to put on...I LOVE it. 🧡🧡 From man cave to mid century G&T lounge, I'm on a one man band to bring back the Good Room! As you know, I'm a white walls, teak furniture kinda gal, so I wanted to keep my walls white, so I used Crowns Clean Extreme Most Scrubbable White Matt (I've 3 kids, the name of this paint alone told me what I needed to know!!). But keeping the walls white, allowed me to go a bit daring with the ceiling and I'm so glad I did. It's a south facing room, so the light changes the colour in here all the time and gives a beautiful glow..... amazing what colour can do! Be prepared for lots of 'Good room' pics on my grid from now on!! Many thanks to @kirstiemcdermott , @alannahmonks and @plpix for a great morning 😊😊 xx PS LINK IN BIO TO SEE MORE PICS #AD #behindthepaint #crownpaints #myhouseandhome #paintedceiling #stylishhomevibes #terracottaceiling #coralceiling #ceilingrose #myhousethismonth #colourmyhome #mymidcenturymix #myeclecticshack #myseasonalrevamp #roomrevamp #myhomevibe #irishdiyers #teakgeek #dailydecordetail

Laundry room is getting there, I have left it for a little while because I couldn’t decide should I get timber as a counter top and should I go all white 🤷🏻‍♀️. Sometimes my brain gets too full and I can’t decide on one simple thing, it’s always to do with my house cause I don’t have a deadline. I ran out of white paint which is annoying but I have to get back to normal work. I have loads of painting to do at home, so this is where all my lines get fuzzy and I don’t know where my hand stops and the paint brush begins 😂. I’ll have a full breakdown do this makeover on the blog once I’m done but, I don’t think it cost much more than €150. I'm so excited... My room makeover is finally out. Swipe to see the before 👉🏼 I had so much fun creating this space thanks to @crownpaintsireland and @houseandhomemagazine It was literally the most boring, unused space and now I've my very own plant room. It's like my little pink escape. And Matilda loves it too. And anyone who's been asking where I moved my locker from my hallway... Here it is in all it's glory, loving life. Huge thanks for the super talented @plpix for the shots and Penny Crawford for the styling. And of course big thanks to @kirstiemcdermott @houseandhomemagazine and @crownpaintsireland for giving me this opportunity. I have been busy working on a project for the last little while. It's my 1970 Castleton Caravan. We bought this as a playhouse for our kids about 8 years ago, after we had sold our previous caravan. I know that most of you probably won't understand my love of caravans, (I blame Top Gear).... But I have always loved caravans. As a kid, we had a little caravan in our farmyard, and I would spend hours in there arranging and rearranging things.... Putting up the top bunk, taking it down, making the bed into a seat and table and back into a bed. I'd cook imaginary meals, and wash imaginary dirty dishes.... For hours.... or so it seemed! I was the youngest by 7 years, and spent a lot of time playing alone! Most of my best childhood memories involve caravans.... and dogs, and ponies..... But not all at once! I bought all of the paint for this project in @carlowpainthub and it is all @tikkurila_ireland paint. I love the finished colours. To top it all off, I just found out that my little project has been nominated for the #irishpaintawards in the @carlowpainthub in September! So exciting! #tikkurilla #vintagecaravan #mustard #mustardcaravan

#ad Pinch punch first of the month! Oh, wait, no, hang on, I missed it! 🙈 I’ve never missed a first of the month post but then there’s always a first for everything I guess. In my defence, I was a little busy dealing with a tile stencil. Yes folks, unless you’ve been living under a rock you’ll have seen on Stories, I faced my nemesis head on and attempted to right the wrongs of ‘Stencil-gate’. The amazing folk at @dizzy_duck_designs had taken pity on me and kindly sent me a new batch of stencils, this time I chose their Jannah design. @kylamagrathinteriors used it on her hearth tiles, which is what inspired the choice. I absolutely love it and I’m almost glad the first one didn’t work out as I prefer the look of these. I then used a grout pen to draw on grout lines so they really read like tiles when you look at them. Finally a coat of varnish to seal them. In case you missed all the fun, you can follow my progress in highlights. It’s certainly brightened up a pretty dull space, keep swiping for a before. I’m attaching October’s #storyofmyhome prompts folks, better late than a no show right. 😉 Red tape is Day 2’s prompt. I used quite a lot of tape during the stencil process but in case you were wondering it was more mustard yellow than red! 🤣 I’m off to a flying tangent start already. 😁😁 Post contains gifted items: Jannah Tile Stencil @dizzy_duck_designs @mylands_london paint in Bloomsbury and Belgravia @stillorgandecor ‘Get your kit off’ print @hello_pea_and_me #retwigged #tilestencil #utilityroom #utilityroomdecor #walltowallstyle #dailydecordetail #myinteriorsquares #greathomestaketime #scrollstoppinghome #irishdiyers #irishinteriors #mydiymydecor #luxuryinteriorsonabudget #eclecticallymade #pimpmypad #spotlightonmyhome #sorealhomes #myhouseandhome
