Harvey Norman have just launched their SS18 homewares, and this year, they've centred their Spring/Summer offering around four major interiors trends.
First up is Beeten Track, a trend inspired by food, and colours like celery and beetroot. Greens are becoming gentler, while purple is on the up, marked by Pantone naming Ultra Violet as their colour of 2018.
Retro peach, their second trend, is similarly centred around colour, with a subtle move away from our dependence on grey. Base colours moving to fresher tones, like soft peaches, will be joined by floral patterns with a contemporary feel.

Marrying golds with yellows is key for the third trend, Gilty Pleasures. Influenced by the resurgence of traditional crafts. The hero of this look for Harvey Norman is the 'Zoey' chaise sofa, which comes in a mustard quilted velvet, as well as more muted tones.
Finally, Everyday Luxe rounds out the foursome of trends, centring around the basics you need for your home. Furniture should be solid and dependable, and lighting should be considered. Disposable accessories don't fall into this trend, as it's about pieces that will last and last through changing seasons and trends. Under this idea, Harvey Norman have endeavoured to design a collection of products that make the most of the space available, with clever furniture that fits your home and your life.
