Some things become ubiqutious in home interiors: Eames chairs. Noguchi coffee tables. Poul Henningsen's Artichoke Light. Saarinen tables, and this little feller - the Normann Copenhagen Norm 69 Lampshade. At around €100, it's definitely on the cheaper end for a design classic but classic it is and the reason we know it is because it's so copied - check Ikea's paper-apes if you don't believe us.
Do you think it deserves the classic status it's had conferred upon it though? Do you own one? Do you consider it to be a work of modernist beauty or a piece of hideous plastic tat?
