When you're decorating your home, you probably feel like it needs to be perfect - wrong! This half painted walls trend is here to show you that imperfect is perfect and we are definitely all for it!

The best part about this trend is you really don't have to be that neat - no need to go cleaning up brush strokes. It works best with two really contrasting colours, like this deep denim and bright white.

This colour palette is so gorgeous - we love the half painted muted grey, paired with blush pink, white and pale wood for that Scandinavian vibe.

However, if you can't bear the thought of leaving the walls looking somewhat undone, then you can always paint a straight line across half of the wall - this way it will look a little slicker and still be bang on trend. Win, win!

Monochrome will always be one of our favourite trends as it never goes out of style. This is a modern twist on the classic trend, with a dark charcoal grey and white on the walls.

Who says you can't have a pink half painted walls in your living room? Certainly not us! You don't want to go overboard with the pink, though or it will end up looking like Malibu Barbie's dream home - pull the pink through the room with an accent lamp or throw.

Gold and navy always work well together and will turn a plain old room into something luxurious. The bright white accents work really well and tone down the darkness of the navy paint, so your room won't look smaller than it is.

We love this idea for a kids bedroom - try painting a zigzag on the wall instead of a straight line, and then pair the design with a bright colour, to inject a little bit of fun into the room. Trust us, the kids will love it!
