Today in Temple Bar's Market Square, there will be a gourmet sausage pop-up in aid of the Movember Foundation.

Hot dogs are getting fancy at Big Mickeys, which will run between 11am and 4pm. It's a one-day only event, so you'll need to get down this afternoon to get a taste of some of Dublin's foodie's finest creations.

Chef and internet superstar James Kavanagh who runs Currabinny along with William Murray, has created a signature Currabinny Mickey for the pop up. It will be topped with mustard, ketchup, wilted rainbow chard. “I can’t wait for the world to taste my mickey!” he says.

Marc Bereen, the man behind much-loved Dublin spot, Coppinger Row, has also jumped on board to create the Coppinger Row Mickey. His will bring the heat with spicy passata, rocket leaves and shaved parmesan.

A more eastern sausage will come in Duncan Maguire of Ukiyo Bar's Ukiyo Mickey, which will come with shredded kim chi, hoisin sour cream and cheddar cheese.

If more exotic hot dogs aren't up your alley, the Basic Mickey, a classic with ketchup, mustard and diced onion, should keep you happy.

All proceeds from the day will go to Movember Ireland, which supports men's health. The Movember Foundation focuses on the biggest issues affecting men’s health, including prostate and testicular cancer and mental health.

Big Mickey’s is a collaboration between BACKUP, Movember Foundation, and Fillit. If you're interested in running your own Movember event, pub quiz or pop-up, find a great space for it on Fillit.ie.
