The IDI Irish Design Awards Exhibition has opened at the Fumbally Exchange at 5 Dame Lane. Showcasing the works of those shortlisted at this year's IDI Design Awards, it will run until November 5th, in advance of the awards ceremony on November 17th.
Encompassing architecture, fashion, interiors, product design, animation, furniture, craft and more, the exhibition is open to the public Monday to Saturday from 11am-5pm.
The theme of the exhibition this year is DESIGN:RISING, as the IDI aims to elevate how Irish design is perceived, engaged with and appreciated on the international stage.
All the entries are judges to an international standard by a panel of industry leaders, which this year includes Úna Burke, an award-winning leather accessories designer, and Harry Parr, co-founder of culinary design studio, Bompas & Parr.
This year, for the first time, the Irish Design Awards includes a Public Choice Award which will be voted for by the public in an online poll. If something at the exhibition stands out from the crowd for you, you can vote for it at choose.idi-design.ie.
Winners and commended entries will be announced on November 17th at the IDI Irish Design Awards ceremony in the Marker Hotel, Dublin. For tickets, visit their website.
