This Saturday, July 2nd will see over 50 Irish designers take part in what is being called Chair Extravaganza. The challenge is to create new and exciting furiture pieces from 100 old, unwanted chairs. An exhibition in Moxie Studio’s, on Sunday July 3rd will showcase the reinventions.
The weird and wonderful furniture will be judged by a panel made up of Jennie Flynn, Vanessa Mac Innes and Rob Kiernan, with the two winning pieces retailing in Dublin’s Designist and Indusrty. With such a focus nowadays on recycled products and make do design, taking a trip to see these pieces are sure to give you a whole lot of inspiration.
You may never look at your dining chair in the same way again.
