It's getting a bit chillier at the moment, but autumn can be a great time to spend outdoors. If you'd like to pay some attention to the outside of your home and you have a few old jam jars to spare - check out this great video from Howcast, which shows you how to make gorgeous lanterns for your garden.
Needless to say, the patterns and frosted glass aren't compulsory - in fact, clear glass can sometimes look more interesting. That being said, with Halloween coming up in just over a month, this pattern technique could be used to imprint spooky designs on your old jars...
