If you like your accommodation with tight security, check out these lodgings in prison cells in South Australia. The experience would not be complete without a night in the lock-up style bedrooms (which you can lock from the inside as well, thankfully!), prison style bathrooms and a communal social area, which is extremely good fun for those on an adventurous backpacking trip across the country. Definitely not recommended for those who like their five star luxuries!

Fly from Dublin to Adelaide for approximately $1,131 with Malaysia Airlines. You can fly from Adelaide to Mount Gambier then with Regional Airlines with prices starting from $143.
