Your last chance to win a stay at Bantry House and Garden in west Cork

Situated on the Wild Atlantic Way, Bantry House and Garden is the stately home overlooking beautiful Bantry Bay in west Cork. Bought in 1765 by Richard White, originally from neighbouring Whiddy Island, the house is still lived in and managed by his descendents. In 1946, it was the first stately home in Ireland to open to the public, showcasing a collection of objet d’art that dates back to the French Revolution. Light lunches and teas are served in the Tearoom, with views of the surrounding grounds. Bed and breakfast is available in the East Wing, with views of the exterior Hundred Steps, fountain and parterre.

To celebrate the house reopening for the 2016 season, we’re giving one lucky winner, and their guest, a two night stay in one of Bantry House’s elegantly restored rooms. Full Irish or continental breakfast, on both mornings, will set you up for a day of exploring Bantry and surrounding area. You’ll also have complimentary access to the main house, exclusive use of the Billiard Room and Library and afternoon tea to top it all off.
