A House and Home promotion
An auction for every buyer with an eye for design, de Vere's Art Auctions, in Dublin, is holding a very special event at the end of September. Packed to the brim with classic midcentury pieces that span the '50s, 60s, 70s and 80s, you can expect Danish, French and Italian furniture and lighting that will satisfy every design fan who loves a good auction. On view at 35 Kildare Street, Dublin 2 from Friday September 30th to Tuesday October 4th, current highlights include Ron Arad’s MT3 Rocking Chair, a pair of Alf Svensson lounge chairs, an Italian 1960s leather sofa by C + B Italia, cocktail furniture by Willy Rizzo and Mad Men’s ‘President’ lamp, as well as works by contemporary Irish artists including William Crozier, Hughie O'Donoghue, Felim Egan and Makiko Nakamura.
Here, we've handpicked five items we'd certainly welcome into our homes with open arms – and believe us, it was tough to choose.
