Difficulty Rating:

Cost:

One piece of decoupage paper will set you back €1.35 or else you can buy in bulk on eBay for cheaper and the posting is cheap as the paper is so light. You can buy special decoupage glue in Inspiring Ideas for under €5 or else you can use normal PVC glue available in all arts and crafts stores. You'll also need a small paint brush with medium bristles that will cost you under €2 in an arts and crafts shop or else a set of paint brushes from a Euro Store.

Time:
20 minutes to do and 20 minutes to dry

You will need:

  • Decoupage paper - available online  at eBay or in Inspiring Ideas Blanchardstown Retail Park or old wrapping paper
  • Decoupage Glue
  • Brush
  • Photo frame with flat surface sides
  • Stanley Knife or Sharp Scissors

Instructions:

  1. Clean all sides of photo frame
  2. Put cello-tape on glass edges to protect from glue
  3. Rip paper into strips and squares (it works much better when ripped - do not cut with a scissors)
  4. Spread glue along frame
  5. Start placing paper on frame
  6. Go over paper with glue brush and leave to dry
  7. Start gluing next side of frame and repeat steps 4 to 6 until all sides are covered
  8. You can go over with another layer if you wish
  9. Leave to dry and use a stanley blade or sharp knife to trim the edges and remove the cello-tape
  10. You can mix and match papers and put a different pattern on each side or you can stick to the same pattern for all papers
