According to the New York Observer, Carrie Bradshaw's old brownstone has just sold to a mystery buyer for almost $10 million. The brownstone which featured in the first three seasons of the hit series Sex and the City is located at 64 Perry Street in the West Village. Whoever the new owner is they are getting 4,100 square feet spread over four floors; original herringbone patterned hardwood floors throughout; six fireplaces; ornate gold leaf mouldings; five bedrooms, three bathrooms and even a backyard. Not too shabby eh? Then again, they are not inheriting Carrie's enviable designer wardrobe and amazing shoe collection!
The interiors of the brownstone are quite opulent and fancy, completely different in style to Carrie's apartment. (Yes I know it was a set but still)
After the first few seasons, producers moved next door to 66 Perry Street to this very famous brownstone. Many memorable scenes were filmed on this stoop and apparently every time it was featured on the show the owners received a whopping $60k.
Neighbours to the new owners will include Sarah Jessica Parker herself who owns a similar brownstone nearby. So jealous!
