Taschen has released its newest architectural addition to the shelves and we’re excited to let you in on some of the details. 100 Contemporary Houses is a new book offering mountains of inspiration from the most exceptional contemporary houses worldwide. My mind does cartwheels just looking at these few pictures, allowing us regular people to dream about the great ‘what ifs’ and the ‘when I grow ups’.
This book focuses on alternative and quite frankly amazingly designed residential concepts that architects have embraced and in some cases, literally taken to the next level. Through their intricate and surreal results, it’s clear how much care and thought has gone into each design. This two-volume publication details 100 of the worlds most spectacular and groundbreaking (excuse the pun) homes created in the past decade.
Throughout the 100 homes, the architects responsible vary from brand new talent to well established names, quoting Tadao Ando, Peter Zumthor, John Pawson, Daniel Libeskind, Richard Meier and Zaha Hadid to name a few. Written and compiled by Philip Jodidio, the internationally renowned architectural writer, this is a must have for any coffee table.
Available at all good book stores from €39.99.
