16-849southbroadwayph3-03-jpgJohnny Depp's downtown LA penthouse has been put on the market for a cool $12.78 million. Situated atop the landmark Eastern Columbia building - one of Los Angeles' most architecturally significant residential high-rises - the property in the art deco building is one of the actor's extensive roster of worldly homes. Depp started buying condos in the building in 2007 and has since joined five of them to form a massive penthouse. Yes, five!

And you could probably guess by looking at it that it might belong to the Pirates of the Caribbean star. The vibrant hues, loud patterns, and graphic motifs seem like a reflection of his personality in a big way.

There is a diverse collection of art and media collaged across the walls, running throughout the entire penthouse. In the dining room, Depp had a ginormous mural painted by Brazilian artists OSGEMEOSspanning the entire interior wall, which makes for a very colourful, playful dining setting!

The bedrooms are all a mix of vibrant, jewel-toned colours.

The five condo units - four two-bed apartments and one one-bedroom - have been kept largely separate, because Depp wanted to live in them 'like rooms in a home' according to real-estate agent Kevin Dees of Partners Trust. Depp added doorways between three of the properties, the ones he was using as his living and entertaining spaces, and kept the other two as an art studio and a guest suite.

Just to add to the luxury of the five apartment penthouse, the rooms lead out onto several terraces and there's a separate leisure terrace. It's a sprawling outdoor space that takes advantage of the 13-storey building with a magnificent sky deck, swimming pool, spa, lounging cabanas, fitness studio and outdoor fireplace.

According to multiple outlets, Depp stands to make a pretty penny from the listing. He is reported to have purchased the various apartments between 2007 and 2008 for around $7.2 million and the apartments are available to purchase separately under the listing.
