World's ugliest buildings

According to a recent article in the Telegraph, these are among some of the ugliest buildings ever designed and built. Here are a few of the most, erm, interesting out of the list. The above building is The Longaberger Basket Company building in Newark, Ohio was built in 1997. It's hard to understand how and why on earth the planning application for this building was ever granted.

This offensive building is called The Elephant Building and stands proudly in Bangkok, Thailand. Hideous just doesn't cut it does it?

This contemporary coin shaped building in Abu Dhabi is the home of Aldar headquarters and was built in 2010. It is the first circular skyscraper in the world.

This monstrosity is The Mirador Building in Madrid and was built in 2005. It is simply a crime against architecture in my opinion.

Closer to home, these two were among the choices for some of ugliest buildings in Dublin.

The Busaras building, Dublin

The Civic offices in Dublin.
