Today’s prompt for @houseandhomemagazine photo challenge is Outdoor Colour and I can assure you there was none here today, it was grey and miserable all day. We have done absolutely no work in the garden yet, we have grass and that’s basically it so I love that we get some free greenery from our neighbours !!! #myhouseandhome #myhousethismonth #dailydecordetail #myinteriorstyletoday #myhomevibe #myhometrend #mygorgeousgaff #mystylishspace #instaliving #pocketofmyhome #walltowallstyle #weeklyinteriorinspo #cornerofmyhome #newinteriorsontheblock #interioraddict #plantstyling #plantsofinstagram #dailydecordose #colourmyhome #colourinspo #styledupinterior #myeclecticshack #stylishhomevibes #mycolourfulinterior #ahouseindays #coolinteriorfave #irishinteriors #irishinteriordesign #mycreativeinterior #myinteriorsquares

{ W E E K 8-10 - Down tools } So apparently builders take holidays, who knew 🤷🏼‍♀️😉 So here's a look at how we left it (I had to go up yesterday to get pics cause when we called up before Christmas it was so foggy it was photographing a vampire). Lots more blockwork done with most walls up to window cill level and the front porch started too. Ray thinks the blocklayers were only on site 2 or 3 days in the two weeks before Christmas so can't wait to see what they achieve when they get back on site. Back to work today (boo!) but it's nearly the weekend (yay!) #buildingcappacurry #thefarm #obrienfamilyhome #foreverhome #selfbuild #ourselfbuild #irishselfbuild #selfbuildireland  #farmhouse #countryhouse #newbuild #newbuildjourney #irisharchitecture #blockwork #groundfloor

Overdid it yesterday so it’s a cosy night in tonight and maybe a wee glass of something nice 🍸 The Xmas spirit is still missing in this house I’m afraid. It had been planned for this weekend but we got a bird feeding station sorted, a bed for a dog we don’t have yet 😂🙈 and managed to empty a few more boxes so definitely progress made... . From looking at the amazing Xmas decorations of the other accounts on here who has just moved in, I think I’m in the minority on this but I feel like we’re still “normal” decorating here day by day adding bits. Adding Xmas on top of that just feels like too much. Am I mad? 🤔... . #cosycorner #kitchenstyling #kitchengoals #actualhomesofinstagram #pendantlights #interiorstyling #shakerkitchen #paintedkitchen #kitchensofinstagram #whitekitchen #myhomestyle #myhomevibe #styleithappy #kitchenisland #realhomes #beautifulhomes #beautifulkitchens #kitcheninspiration #neutralinteriors #interiors #countryhome #countryhomes #countryliving #modernhome #modernhomes #newbuild #selfbuild #hygge

It feels so good having the decorations cleared away and some fresh flowers in. I always get fresh flowers once the tree is down and leave a couple of fairy lights and lots of candles around to beat those January blues. Just showing off this tidy corner, because I’m smug like that! Painting this screen was the last project I worked on for this space, this year I’m planning on working on a new gallery wall for this room and thinking of changing up colour on chimney breast!? Maybe a bit of blue!? I have been very busy tidying up and organising the house because I have something really fun happening later on this week, but it's radio silence for now, don't fret, I will tell you all about it after it happens! 🤫 This is me going to the 'dark side', I finished the dining area and it's dramatically different. What a perfect way to start the week....with a photo of our kitchen all clean and tidy....as it was....on Saturday (not today 🙈) I had the house all to myself and had a proper ‘tidy up and clean’ (we had a handy man visit so I’m always amused by how concerned I get with what a stranger will think but happy for us to sit with a mess around us 😂) The warm Autumn light is magical at the mo, all soft and moody and being here alone for the small window of time I had was lovely if a little surreal. What I managed to keep out of shot was the washing up in the sink awaiting some eager being, I left the steps here in the hopes of tempting some little helpers on their return 😂 Optimistic but also effective, as a mother of boys one thing I’ve learnt is that boys love to climb so 🤞My husband is allergic to washing up so I need to develop this skill in my little men 😉 Happey Monday everybody x - - - - - - @myhousethismonth “Squeaky clean” My hopes for the dishes 😉 - @storyofmyhome “Stillness” This rare moment of calm 😊 - - - - - #myhousethismonth #storyofmyhome #walltowallstyle #myperiodhomestyle #thiscreativehome #styleitreal #myinteriorstyle #myinteriorsquares #pinkinmygaff #givemeallthecolor🌈 #mybombshellhome #apartmenttherapy #mycolourfulhome #mycolourfulkitchen #colorlovedecor #myseasonalstyle #kitchendecor #styleithappy #ourinstahome #designattractor #dailyhomeshare #mystoryfilledhome #dailydecordetail #myvintageinterior #styledupinterior #myseasonalstyling #nesttoimpress #myeclecticshack #eclecticallymade
