Look inside Ivanka Trump's new $5.5m presidential Washington home

Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner, along with their three children, Arabella Rose (five), Joseph Frederick (three) and Theodore James (10 months) will soon be neighbours with the Obamas.

It has been reported that Ivanka and her husband have bought a house just two blocks away from the Obama’s new place of residence in Washington DC. Although it’s not clear if they’ve sold their $16m dollar pad on 5th Avenue, in Manhattan’s Upper East Side, the pair have bought an (ahem!) modest house in Washington for a measly $5.5 million, and plan to spend a lot more of their time here.

Trump and Kushner’s new address at 2449 Tracy PI, NW, in the prestigious neighbourhood of Kalorama, has been home to past presidents such as Woodrow Wilson and Franklin D Roosevelt, either before or after their presidencies.

Designed by architect Waddy Wood in 1923, the six-bedroom house was recently renovated, and is similar in style to Ivanka and Jerard’s New York apartment, and boasts neutral tones, with plenty of plush fabrics and wide-open spaces.

In the foyer, you’ll be met with double doors leading into a 25 foot by 17 foot, open plan dining room, come living room which is flooded with natural light, where the Trump/Kushner family can entertain guests.

It’s unlikely that they’ll feel the cold in winter, with their five wood-burning fireplaces.

It seems the Trumps are settling in nicely to their new home, with Ivanka’s youngest son Theodore James learning to crawl in The White House. Check out the video here.
