Chelsea, the brains behind the always beautiful lifestyle blog Lovely Indeed, recently shared the end results of the total house makeover of her Californian home, and it is beautiful. They still are in the process of adding a bathroom to the master bedroom, but in the mean time, the main portion of the house is completely re-done.
They started by widening their narrow kitchen, creating a breakfast bar between the kitchen and dining room. All of the presses, tiles and appliances got a refresh, and they added a pretty cool, on-trend leaf wallpaper to boot.
Their old dining room was a two-living-area room, which was made up of a family room and a more formal sitting room. They transformed it into a large dining room and a ton of storage space. This involves raising the floor from their walled-in sunporch and incorporating it into their house, which also provided some playroom space within the living room, which they left fairly open plan.
They also converted their old garage into a studio/workspace and added a full bathroom into the mix. "It feels so good to be in a home that’s exactly what we want. Feels like a forever home," says Chelsea in her post about the total house makeover.
